The SlapStart badges are here! If you’ve been featured on SlapStart these badges can be placed on your homepage, blog, or anywhere you would like to show off your SlapStart featured article. To include the SlapStart badge just cut and paste the following text into the HTML code or template. Note that you can (should) change the target URL to the exact location of your post. The sample code below links to our home page, but most likely clients would want to link directly to their article. (See below) Also, if you’re deciding between PNG and JPG, JPG works universally in all browsers but it lacks the transparent capability. PNG handles transparency well, has smaller file sizes, and works in newer browsers. Notably, PNG does not work in IE6. If you have a white background, JPG will look the same as the PNG. If your background has color then PNG will look better. The silver badge looks particularly good with PNG due to the folded corner. That entire section is transparent and carries over the background color it’s placed on.
